Industry Snapshot Poll - OTC 2012

At OTC 2012, Houston, TX, GL Noble Denton invited delegates to have their say on the key issues affecting the sector in our annual Industry Snapshot Poll.

In an attempt to gather a snapshot of the industry, GL Noble Denton polled hundreds of industry professionals on issues affecting the Americas market during the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), 30 April-3 May 2012.

There were three Industry Snapshot Polls during the conference, one for each full day of the event. Conference attendees were invited to GL Noble Denton's stand (2241-K) to take part in the poll, which asked them to vote on three key issues:

Will gas replace oil as America's primary energy source by 2030?

Should operators always be liable for exploration and production risks?

Has US investment in deepwater R&D stalled since Macondo?

The poll was also completed online by senior professionals from across the industry.
