SPS/Trainer
A training simulator assists in the education process of both new and experienced operators by providing the most realistic training experience possible. Simulators, as opposed to any other form of training, uniquely expose operations staff to realistic, normal and abnormal pipeline conditions without any effect on actual pipeline operation.
Using a simulator-based training system, an operator can:
- Learn the "feel" of the pipeline's dynamic operation
- Learn to recognize emerging problems on the pipeline
- Learn to respond to emergency situations
Stoner OQ
Stoner OQ provides a comprehensive administration facility for testing, record-keeping and reporting of the performance of operations staff. It is fully compatible with SPS/Trainer qualification sessions. Unlike written tests, on the job training, or other computer-based training approaches, the operator qualification application tests an operator's ability to recognize the symptoms of an emerging problem and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
SPS/Trainer and Stoner OQ can be provided with a dedicated GUI to mimic your SCADA system, or integrated directly to SCADA to provide a totally realistic training environment.
