Objectives of GALIOM's Power Boiler Module
- Identify critical components prone to damages or failures. Maintain equipments in asset register of GALIOM
- Risk based Inspection analysis, override PM strategy
- Develop Preventative Maintenance Strategy. Timely inspection of components, predicting the remnant life, contributing to improved availability
- Fitness for purpose analysis, to facilitate decision making based on analysis to repair / replace / condemn or prolong usage
- Recommend Corrective Maintenance plan
- Aim is to improve availability, reliability, maintainability and efficiency of the boiler
- Regular updating of historical data

Potential Failure Mechanisms
GALIOM takes care of Potential Failure Mechanisms
| Stress Rupture: short term overheat, high temperature creep (including long term overheating, dissimilar metal welds (load distribution and stress accumulation) | Corrosion - Fire-Side: type I and II high temperature corrosion, ash deposit (hot corrosion) and ersosion coal ash, oil ash and biofuel ash |
| Fatigue: vibration, thermal and corrosion | Ersosion: fly ash and deposition, falling slag, sootblower, fuel particles like coal or peat |
| Corrosion - Steam / Water-Side: caustic corrosion and oxidation, hydrogen damage, pitting, stress corrosion cracking | Lack of Quality Control and monitoring: maintenance cleaning damage, chemical excursion damage, material defects, wedling defects or loss of metal |
Creep assessment is based on Cavity Classification; GALIOM technical experts do analysis of data collected and come up with recommendation.
