GL software engineers where involved in SAP integration projects in Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) which utilized the traditional programming by individual software side programming. In PEMEX GAS too a custom traditional codes where written by engineers to integrate SAP and GALIOM which synchronizes data between software systems.

Interface Implementation Approach
The implementation process is simpler, as soon as GL gets into a contract for its GALIOM software and SAP Interface adapter, a software development approach is applied and a proper project management is done to accomplish the implementation task. GL analyst starts working with customer's SAP expert to fill the initial SAP configuration questionnaire.
The questionnaire is prepared keeping in mind the baseline configuration environmental requirements. Normally this step is accomplished by a site visit. Once the questionnaire is filled, engineers clearly can judge what additional needs are there and what steps can be skipped. Whenever required Junot SAP engineers assists GL engineers to fulfill any changes required in the baseline configuration. Once the configuration is ready for implementation, engineers do a site visit and install NLink adapter product in server and the configurations connects the two software's GALIOM and SAP.
Initial parameters are set by the engineer and data is loaded into intermediary tables. Engineers test the interface by executing and making sure all initial mapping works are completed. The interface is demonstrated and a formal training is conducted for the IT administrator of customer so that any error handling and troubleshooting can be done by them. Interface comes with operational manual which guide the customer.
Once the training is finished the Interface goes live and daily interface log is monitored by the customer representative. For any further requirements, the GALIOM support at development center helps customer via email, telephone and by site visit.
