Asset maintenance and life extension

An effective maintenance policy is essential within any asset management approach. Our solutions include software to assess and prioritise risk for key assets and to plan maintenance and inspection regimes accordingly. GL Noble Denton supports these software tools with an extensive portfolio of assurance and inspection services, with information stored in our leading asset information repositories. Our software builds upon geospatial asset data by presenting complex asset condition data in an intuitive map view.

With a model of your current gas network in SynerGEE Gas or Stoner Pipeline Simulator it is easy to assess what the impact of new loads being connected to the system will be and identify what reinforcement options are available to meet any capacity shortfalls.

Forecasts of network demands can be input to our network modelling software either via exchange files from other systems or through our specific customer management module.

SynerGEE Gas can provide an efficient design for extensions to your existing networks, such as for new housing developments, as well as assessing the impact on the upstream network and identifying what reinforcement could be required.

The capacity of existing network regulators can be held within the SynerGEE Gas model and this can be used in the analysis to determine when these regulators will be working at full capacity and therefore in need of replacement/upgrading.

To effectively maintain production plant requires quantitative performance models that predict production performance using actual facility reliability data and shutdown events, as well as taking into account current and future operating levels. The OPTAGON simulation package is ideal for such an analysis and can prove a valuable tool in extending the life of your ageing assets.
